She refused to surrender her seat to a white passenger in a Montgomery bus and had no choice but to lift the law. She helped launch the nation-wide efforts to end segregation of public faculties. Her childhood brought her early experiences with racial discrimination and activism for racial equality. She was really brave about things. She had a good education. The reason our lives are better today because she changed our history and made black and white not hate each other.
